Dear surveying contractors!
In light of the clear position taken by the Central Office for Geodesy and Cartography, based on the applicable legal provisions, I hereby inform you that, with effect from 1 July this year, it will no longer be permissible to agree to carry out the marking and fixing of new boundary points on the ground using boundary markers as one of the stages of work aimed at drawing up a map showing the proposed division of a property (Article 12(1)(3)(f) of the Surveying and Cartography Act).
These activities, regardless of the time elapsed since the issue of the decision approving the subdivision, must be covered by a separate work notification, the purpose of which is specified in Article 12(1)(3)(b) of the Geodetic and Cartographic Law.
The phasing previously agreed upon in this regard remains in force.
